What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
We explore contemporary marriage and faith in our URBAN MARRIAGE series.
Having worked a number of years as a contract counselor for a major church denomination, I saw the damage of gay conversion therapy. Also, my daughter's best friend divorced a Christian man, then married another woman. They attend a church that welcomes the LGBTQ community, but one parent is on a mission to break up that marriage.
Urban Marriage 16 follows Sherri and Aubrey's third year of marriage. Pastoral counseling and sex therapy help the couple reaffirm their marriage commitment.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Personal experiences and real-life situations of friends in the faith community shape our characters. We strive to understand both sides of an issue. Our characters make mistakes, have doubts, and find peace with God in their life decisions.
