When I began my Travel Industry career, I was a bit selfish (like most agents who become agents!) and wanted to see the world. I also wanted my children to experience other cultures firsthand. As time progressed, I studied to become a Certified Travel Counselor (equivalent to a Master’s Degree in Travel) and opened my own online agency. The importance shifted from me to my clients’ experiences – each journey I designed for them: did they learn from it, did they feel it, did they embrace the culture, and did it change them in any way?

That’s the one thing that I hold dear in all of my 45+ years in travel: making the traveler feel a part of their journey. That is why this book is written for you, the reader, to open your minds, your heart, and your sense of belonging to a world that God put here for you to become a part of.
